We consider the bundling of power on a platform for non-commercial film to be compelling. Due to the initiative of the two umbrella organizations swiss.movie (main sponsor) and sifa (co-sponsor), we operate this platform for other like-minded people.
No matter if you are a film enthusiast youngster, a travelling filming woman, a filming parent or an active retired person: you should find your platform here. Sole requirement is that you do not make a living by making films or follow commercial activities.
The Swiss Youth Film Festival is reserved for young filmmakers. Naturally they can show their films at our clubs. They can even participate at the at regional and national festivals or participate in the UNICA film festival workshop, where young adults from different countries work together to make short films.
Sure. Films are an important part of communication today. Digitalization, Internet and the social medias make it possible to use moving images at work, in education and in networks: Many people are Courting «likes». Our focus is the big picture experience and the exchange of ideas.
You will find it by visiting our cinemakers.ch platform and by joining one of our clubs. If you want a regular exchange with experienced members, membership is worthwhile. You will receive tips on dramaturgy and design and experience an exchange with like-minded people at our club evenings, workshops and festivals.
Membership fees finance national and international festivals, jury and training activities and the SUISA fee. The latter allows members to use copyright-protected music for their videos within the association. Ask a club for an exact price quote. Expect costs between 70 and 130 francs per year.
